During my tenure at the Today Show, I held responsibility for the production of 3 to 5 segments daily. My role encompassed a comprehensive suite of tasks, including drafting the introductory remarks and scripts, developing background guides for our hosts, designing visual screens, and composing lower-third graphics for on-screen display. Additionally, I coordinated the camera crews, edited visual content for use during interviews, and provided real-time support throughout the live segments. Furthermore, I actively contributed by pitching segment concepts and successfully bringing them to fruition.
I found a woman on Facebook who is recognized internationally as a prominent collector of Snoopy memorabilia. I proposed a tour of her residence as part of our weekly pitch meeting. My colleagues granted their approval, allowing me to collaborate with the reporter to organize filming and create this package.
One of the last things I was able to work on was writing this package explaining the differences between elections in Australia and the US, which they aired the day before the United States Election.
For this segment, I worked with Master Chef Kishwar Chowdhury and helped arrange this set up for a Diwali cooking demonstration. I personally purchased everything on the display and set it up before going live.
When on the Entertainment Desk, I worked with the late Sam Rubin to produce a preview of the Academy Awards.
I pitched this new company based in Sydney to do a demonstration of their "Ink & Drink" sessions. I coordinated everything they needed in studio for the demo, and produced the segment in its entirety.
Effie Zahos hosted a daily consumer finance chat on our show, and this is one example that I produced with her.
A video of a snake in someones shoe went viral, so I tracked down the snake catcher who went to the scene and produced what is a very Aussie segment!
